MCF

Motion Commander Foundation (MCF) is a .NET framework for machine control applications.  Host PC applications based on MCF are running industrial machinery all over the world.

  • Milling, Routing, Grinding and Drilling
  • Laser and Waterjet Cutting
  • Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM)
  • Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing)
  • General Motion Applications
Power PMAC NC

The MCF framework provides features common to machine control applications, enabling developers to focus on the unique aspects of their projects:  the operator interface and machine-specific logic.

  • Code your application in C# or Visual Basic using Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Save time with MCF project templates and code generation tools
  • Design your user interface in Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) or WinForms
  • View, edit and plot your application’s data in Machine View
  • Built-in message logging, alarming, user login system, and much more
  • Internationalize your application for foreign language users
  • Publish real-time HTTP data via the MTConnect industrial standard
  • MCF training and development services are available if you need them
Machine View

MCF applications feature a Machine View page where technicians can view and edit the app’s underlying settings and data in an Explorer-style format.

  • Manage device communications
  • View, edit, plot and log real-time machine data
  • Edit application settings
  • Specify the app’s skin (color scheme and styling)
  • Manage the list of users (administrators only)
  • Manage the app’s internationalization capabilities
  • View the message log and log low-level diagnostic data

MCF is designed around Microsoft .NET best practices to be intuitive for experienced developers, and examples are provided that will enable even novice developers to get started easily.
